Construction - Main House Construction

General

  • The updated plan view below is mainly concerned with making sure the general layout works and there is space for the furniture.
  • I haven't tried to do "decorations" yet, except very basic.
  • Everything on my plans show the ground as level because the app I use does not do elevation changes well - in fact very badly.
  • To give a reality check, I did a quick screen shot from the architect's sketch-up file - a better quality image to follow.
  • The yellow is the elevation change per the topographical surveyor's measure points - each "step" is 0.5 meters change; the total is 9.5m front-to-back.
  • The real elevation change is fairly smooth and only the last 1/3 gets a little steeper (S-to-N).
  • There is a slight slope up W-to-E, on the lower 1/2 of the lot.
  • Anyway, the point is you can get an idea how the elevation change affected the house plans.
  • The grey wedge in front is depicting the road elevation slope.
  • BTW, the elevation at the lot frontage is 1,630m or approximately 5,348 feet.
