Cutout for the lower level and street entrance
They are leaving the old aljibe in place until the retaining walls are created to use the water for mixing motar, etc. That's the concrete with the orange writing on it to the right.
More rocks and old aljibe

Brought a rock home; hammer & chisel only chipped off little pieces
The rocks are mostly "chert" - a type of quartz based rock.
It's a "7" on the hardness scale;
granite is only about a 6.5 - so yea, very hard.
Will try to find a stone mason type to work with this
(or buy a lot of diamond saw blades)
This would be great to make counter tops, tables, pavers, etc.
Problem is I think it'd cost a
fortune to work it into useable pieces
