April 19, 2023 - More stuff done, More stuff to do
Cement roof layer is complete except half of rear extension
Cement needs to dry for a while before final sealing coat is applied
Also working on the east retaining wall
...measuring and cutting up some rebar for the east retaining wall posts.
Water stains on boveda ceiling - normal at this point
The water in the cement roof layer bleeds through. After the roof cement dries,
the walls are
mortared, and they will then come back and "wash" the bricks
The floor is being raised, leveled, and compacted
...to the level needed to run the utilities and plumbing
under the floor and then add the cement layer
Getting ready to start the retaining wall
The foundation is set, measuring where we want the wall "steps" to be placed
Digging the holes for the rebar reinforced columns for the brick wall.
The rock wall is angled to reduce from 1m to 30cm for the block portion of the retaining wall.
A swimming pool? Nope.
The cistern hole is being used temporarily as source of water to mix the cement and mortar.
