February 8, 2024 - Decisions and a few minor things
Slow week for large visible changes. Three rooms in the house to be finished before the rest will allow me to move in
before the rest of the house is complete - the bedroom, bathroom, closet...plus the utility/storage room in the
lower level and the fencing for the yard. They started the washing of the ceiling bricks and I have picked out a
tentative paint color for the metal ceiling beams - pending a painted sample area.
Met with the guy that will be making the lower level windows and steel security doors for the utility/storage room.
Decided to go with a submersible water pump for the cistern. Also finalized the placement of the main electrical box
and internet connections.
Going to Guadalajara on Tuesday to visit a tile manufaturer's showroom. Need to select tiles for all the floors and
wall tiles for the bath and laundry back-splash, etc.
Hooking the upstream pipes to the final register and rain runoff
Cement inside the register now slopes nicely to the septic feed pipe
Watching cement dry; support housing for the sludge collector
Starting to cement the walls of the utility/storage room
There will be a sheet-rock wall separating the utilities side from the storage side
